Dancehall recording artist Dexta Daps was roughed up by cops last weekend at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay.
The “7 Eleven” artist, whose real name is Louis Grandison, got into a physical confrontation with police.
The whole thing was captured on video and uploaded to YouTube. The clip showing cops roughing up the dancehall star before hauling him off to jail.
One eye witness told RTM NEWS that cops were being bashed by supporters of the deejay for using excessive force.
In the clip you can hear Dexta Daps asking officers what did he do to get arrested. “You tell me what did I do to get arrest,” he yelled.
Reps for Dexta Daps told RTM NEWS that the he did nothing wrong and was unfairly targeted by cops because he is an artist.
Cops say they arrested Daps for intervening when they tried to ticket a member of his entourage for illegal parking at the airport.
