Yanik Wants the Ladies Back in the Dance With ‘Shake and Dweet’

Yanik – Shake and Dweet

Known for conscious, uplifting music, Yanik is showing a different side. His new single Shake and Dweet is made for one thing: getting the ladies back on the dance floor.

The artiste, from Breezy Hill in Comfort, Jamaica, says his female supporters asked him for more dance tunes – and he’s noticed fewer women out in the dances than in the old days. Shake and Dweet is his answer. The track was produced by Kirk and recorded at HPM Studios in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Negril video and a $500 challenge

The music video was shot in Negril, showing off the beauty of western Jamaica, with Shabba directing and Zum on the edit. To get everyone moving, Yanik has launched the #ShakeAndDweet Challenge, with a $500 prize for the best entry.

Yanik got serious about music in 2017 with his debut single Grabba Leaf, and has since shared stages with Chuck Fenda, Black Ryno, QQ and Serani.
