Love is in the air, Afrobeats style. Davido has released the music video for ‘Already Falling’, and the star of the show is his wife, Chioma, also known as Chef Chi. He shared it on Instagram on Wednesday, 28 October with the caption “From us to you.”

Inside the video

The visual opens on a large portrait of the couple, with Davido performing in front of it. Chioma then makes her entrance in a Victorian-style gown, with Davido in a matching look, as the pair fully commit to the period costume theme.

Later the mood loosens up. Chioma takes the wheel of a red convertible while Davido sings from the passenger seat. There are no huge set pieces here; the focus stays on the two of them. The moment fans keep replaying is when Chioma playfully touches Davido’s beard on camera, a small and tender gesture that has the timeline in its feelings.

It is not the first time she has appeared in his work. Back in 2018, Davido featured Chioma in the video for ‘Assurance’, one of the most talked-about romantic Afrobeats songs of its time. The couple welcomed twins in 2023 and married in Lagos in June 2024, a celebration fans dubbed “CHIVIDO”.

Chioma usually keeps a lower profile and has built her own identity around food, which makes her starring turn here feel special. Catch Davido on rotation at RTMRADIO.NET.
