Sean Paul South Africa Tour 2026: Scorpion Kings to Open Cape Town Show

RTMRADIO.NET News card: Sean Paul's South Africa tour, Scorpion Kings open Cape Town (Dancehall)

Dancehall and amapiano are about to share one stage. Sean Paul is heading back to South Africa this December, and the Scorpion Kings, the powerhouse duo of DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small, have been confirmed as his opening act in Cape Town.

Tour dates

  • 3 December 2026: GrandWest Arena, Cape Town (with Scorpion Kings)
  • 4 December 2026: Sunbet Arena, Pretoria
  • 6 December 2026: ICC, Durban

This is a big one. Sean Paul has not played a full concert in South Africa in about 20 years. His last appearance there was back in 2006 as part of the People’s Celebration series. Only the Cape Town support slot has been announced so far.

Promoters are billing the night as “completely tailored” for amapiano and dancehall fans. The Scorpion Kings bring a strong catalogue of their own, from their self-titled 2019 project to Once Upon a Time in Lockdown (2020) and Rumble in the Jungle with Tresor (2021). South Africa’s Sport, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie has praised the pair, saying: “Amapiano is South Africa’s gift to the music world.”

The tour promo leans on ‘I’m Still in Love with You’, and fans are hoping to hear ‘Get Busy’, ‘Temperature’ and ‘Gimme the Light’ too. Ticket details have not been confirmed yet. Stay locked to RTMRADIO.NET for updates.
