Montego Bay’s own Tommy Lee Sparta is back with new music. His single ‘Forgive Me’ arrived on Thursday, 29 October at 1:00 p.m. Jamaica time, and it came with a visual attached.

The credits

The track is produced by Deejay Punz and released under the Punz Entertainment banner. The visual is credited to @inkdrops___.

What has fans talking is the tag. When Sparta announced the drop on Instagram, he used the hashtags #jamaica and #trinibad, a nod to the hard-edged Trinidadian street sound that has been building strong links with Jamaican dancehall. Whether ‘Forgive Me’ is a full Trinibad crossover or simply a hat-tip to the scene is something listeners will have to judge for themselves.

The rollout was lean: no snippet in advance, no featured artist and no word on whether the song belongs to a bigger project. Just the tune, the visual and the time it dropped.

A title like ‘Forgive Me’ hints at something reflective from the Montego Bay deejay. Tune in to RTMRADIO.NET and let us know what you think of the new Sparta.
