New name alert. Protoje has used his platform to introduce a fresh voice in roots reggae: Dahvid Slur, with the single and visual ‘House Of Dread’.

Posting on Instagram, Protoje wrote: “Yes I Introducing the one call @dahvidslur straight out of Trench town with ‘House Of Dread,’” before telling fans to “go check out this new single and visual out now”.

The team behind ‘House Of Dread’

In his post Protoje tagged Tippy I of I Grade and the Zion I Kings production collective, which DancehallMag reads as the production credits. He also tagged The Habitat Camp, though the post doesn’t say what part it played.

What we don’t know yet: whether Dahvid Slur is signed to Protoje’s In.Digg.Nation Collective or whether this is a one-off co-sign. The post doesn’t say. Either way, having Protoje put your name in lights is a strong way to arrive.
