Ella Mai is turning birthdays into a tradition. The singer surprise-released a new EP, 3two, to mark her 32nd birthday.

The title says it all. Two years ago she did the same thing for her 30th, dropping the EP 3 with no warning. 3two picks up that idea, and it also follows her third studio album, Do You Still Love Me?

A packed week for R&B

3two landed in a busy week for new R&B. B2K returned with Eclipse, their first album in 24 years (see our post), and Chxrry put out a deluxe edition of U, Me & My Ego with four new songs, including ‘Big Shot’ with Rema. The holiday season is starting early too: Chlöe shared the original Christmas track ‘Mrs Claus Don’t Have 2 Know’, Charlie Wilson released his first holiday single, ‘Christmas Is You’, featuring his granddaughter Phebe, and Day26 dropped ‘All Year’, produced by Bryan-Michael Cox.

Happy birthday, Ella. Thanks for the gift.
