SUMMARY OF RTMRADIO.NET FOR 2016

After celebrating their third year in existence, RTMRADIO.NET is on the up.

Their followers are ever increasing on the rtmradio.net website, tunein radio and also their fan base on social media, i.e. Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The DJ’s have worked hard in marketing the website and themselves, so a big shout out to them.

There were 6 major trophy winners of 2016: –

January – DJ of the month was DJ Rohan Cool from Trelwny, Jamaica

February – DJ of the month was DJ James from Mandeville, Jamaica

March – DJ of the month was DJ Kojo from Portland, Jamaica

April – DJ of the month was DJ Real Shomari from Barbados

May & June – DJ of the month was DJ Rohan Cool from Trelwny, Jamaica

July & August – DJ of the month was DJ Dreads from Tobago

September – DJ of the month was DJ Gary Mixing King from Kingston, Jamaica

October & November – DJ of the month was DJ Real Shomari from Barbados

December – DJ of the month was DJ Dreads from Tobago

The highly anticipated world 45 shoot out clash:-

Was won by DJ Danger & DJ Genius

The DJ’s and the listeners were asked to name their DJ of the year, which comes in 2 categories:

The fans DJ of the year – which was voted via Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

The DJ’s DJ of the year – which was voted by fellow DJ’s on RTMRADIO.NET.

Mass fans voted via all the social media and it was a close competition between DJ Rudie, DJ James, Gary Mixing King, DJ Dreads, DJ Rohan Cool, DJ Real Lyfe and DJ Real Shomari.

There could only be 1 winner and he edged it by a few votes and that was DJ Real Shomari from Barbados.

The DJ’s DJ of the year was arguably the most wanted trophy by the DJ’s and because his fellow colleagues were nominating him the best DJ of 2016, that trophy was awarded to DJ Rohan Cool from Jamaica, with 30% of the votes.

Looking back on 2016, it was a successful year for RTMRADIO.NET so a special thanks to all the DJ’s and staff members and everyone who contributed in making RTMRADIO.NET a success in 2016.
