UK BASE RECORDING ARTIST SPOOKIE CREATING WAVES ON THE DANCEHALL SCEEN
UK-based dancehall recording artiste Spookie received his big break with the release of the single Hurt It Up.
This song has certainly placed Spookie high up on the ladder of the dancehall scene, landing him more dedicated fans and more opportunities. Spookie shared: “The experience was great! To hear a large crowd of people sing my song word-for-word is breathtaking”.
He explained that the love he has been receiving for the song has extended far beyond the UK. “My overseas fans have been reaching out to me and giving me a lot of positive energy and I respect that,” he said.
He has since garnered the attention of producers in Jamaica as well. Through several major websites and his social media, Jamaican fans have seen Spookie excel at major shows like Pelpa Fest and Goodas since January.
He added: “In addition to those shows I was on the Good Book UK Tour with Demarco and I have also been on shows with Gully Bop. I read all the comments from the websites and from my media and as such I will in Jamaica this summer promoting and reaching out to my loyal fans”.
He said this is just the beginning as he has plans to become a household name in dancehall music.
