FLAVOR FLAV CHARGED FOR SPEEDING AND COCAINE INVOLVEMENT

Flavor Flav was charged with DUI in Las Vegas last week stemming from his May arrest. The 56-year-old’s charges involve cocaine and speeding.Flav has had a longstanding battle with sobriety. He detailed the cocaine addiction in a 2011 memoir, stating that he spent $5.7 million on coke over a six-year period.

The native New Yorker was officially charged July 16, reports the Associated Press.When he was pulled over for speeding in Vegas, Flav admitted to smoking weed. According to TMZ, a blood test taken at the police station confirmed that cocaine was in his system as well.
Authorities say he was going 20 miles above the 65 mph speed limit, near McCarran International Airport. An open canister of beer was also seen in the car.
